30 July 2010 DOHA: The first phase of the multi-billion dollar Ras Girtas power and water plant in Ras Laffan Industrial City has been completed. The initial phase -- Project C -- has the capacity to generate 1,833 megawatts (MW) of power. The total capacity of the project is 2,730 MW.
